Evaluation of webtoons.com

Webtoons is a site that I visit very often. It is all centered around creators publishing comic style stories to the site. It has become very popular and has even given some creators opportunities to develop television shows and movies based on their work.
The site URL uses the basic .com. It’s very common and extremely easy to remember. With how overused .com is, it’s a wonder that websites are even able to get a hold of them anymore.
The structure of the page seems to do a good job of displaying the pages in order of importance. It also makes use of categories which assists in organizing the pages even further based on what the user is most interested in. So if you’re interested in a specific genre, you can click on that category which will take you to a page that gives you only stories within that genre. It also categorizes stories based on what’s trending, or new stories to Webtoon. This website does a very good job reaching the needs and interests of all its visitors. It goes to show how a web page can succeed when their structure and content work together.
Some of the most noticeable design elements of the page is its color scheme and use of sans-serif font. Everything is a light green and white based color which is seen consistently throughout the pages. For a frequent user like myself, I can always notice the signature green Webtoon logo. Using sans serif also makes it easier to read through the pages and gives it a less cluttered feeling.
The behavior of the site uses interesting elements that help showcase what Webtoon wants to shine in the spotlight. For instance, they use a slideshow on the homepage to advertise popular/new stories to give their viewers new and interesting content. They also have a menu drop down at the bottom of the page that allows you to change the language. Where they have chosen to use these aspects are very useful and help engage their audiences.
The only thing I would add to the web page would perhaps be a drop down menu at the top to the genres and popular links. That way you can have another option for easy access to what you’re looking for.
